Without fabric and fibre in the curriculum, there would be no fashion industry.

At Sustainable Fashion Education, we excel in providing education for teachers, children and adults based on sustainability and the fashion industry.

Frustrated with the lack of resources for the primary school classroom in the visual art curriculum based on the strand of fabric and fibre, in 2020, we released the pioneering summer course for Irish primary teachers.

By bringing education on sustainability and sewing back into our classrooms, we can provide ourselves, along with the students we teach a sense of personal activism towards mending our planet, using the clothes we already own.

One of the most important aspects of our online courses is the no-guilt ethos we place on our teachings. Unless we can lift and support each other to make better choices, we are going nowhere. We see no point in shaming others for their buying habits, instead, we provide solutions to try better.

Together we can all mend our planet one stitch at a time.
